Directions

Nantes is located to 370 kilometers west of Paris and is conveniently accessible by plane (Nantes Atlantic International Airport, 50 minutes by plane from Paris), TGV (High Speed Train, two hours from Paris) and Motorways.

Tram and Bus

Arriving by train

Nantes Rail Station

From the north exit of the station, take the tram line 1, direction F. Mittérand. Get off at the stop Commerce. To get to the Ecole Centrale, take the tram Line 2, direction Orvault Grand-Val, and get off at the stop Ecole Centrale / Sup de Co. The Ecole Centrale is close to the tram stop. One ticket costs €1, 10. It is valid for one hour after you stamp it and can also be used on the regular buses and trams. The total journe y is around 30 minutes.

You can also take a taxi but it might be longer than with tram, depending on traffic.

Arriving by plane

Nantes Airport

The Nantes International airport is situated about 10 km southwest of Nantes. There is a Tan air bus which will take you into the town (either to the railway station or to place du commerce).

You can also take a taxi to “Ecole Centrale”. It is the easiest option. It will cost you around 30€ (weekdays, daytime).

Arriving by car

From Paris

Follow the “Nantes Nord” direction, take the “Nantes Nord/La Beaujoire/Université” exit and follow the “Université/Ecole Centrale” direction.

From Vannes or Rennes

Follow the “Paris” direction, take the “Nantes Nord/La Beaujoire/Université” exit and follow the “Université/Ecole Centrale” direction.

From Bordeaux, Poitiers or Cholet

Follow the “Paris / Périphérique EST” direction. Leave all the exits until you reach the “Porte de La Chapelle”. Take “Porte de la Chapelle” exit (roundabout “Gesvrines”). Follow the “Université/Ecole Centrale” direction (By “Martin Luther King” Boulevard ) Follow the “Ecole Centrale / Sup de Co” direction (by “fresche blanc” street ).
